Good looking guitar. Nothing better than hearing from someone who love their axe.

Cool, you sound just like a family member of mine who bought my student loaner A&L cedar folk. He's in love, I swear. I replaced the saddle and nut with bone, dressed the frets a bit, added an inexpensive pickup, strap lock buttons, and added a nice gigbag. It's almost the perfect all round acoustic and likely the best bang for the buck available.

Do you run yours through the PA or amp?

Peace, Mooh.

Are they solid or laminated tops on those? I like the looks on them and you see them go used for silly cheap. I've been thinking of picking one up for my "drag behind the car, knock around" guitar.

Thanks! I usually plug it directly to the board mixer, sometimes in the keyboard amp...

I've seen some of the no-frills A&Ls with solid tops sell new for under $200.00. While I'm not fond of parlour-sized guitars, I think that the Amis make a great guitar for younger students who might not be ready for a larger guitar, or a player wanting a 'sofa' and/or easy to carry to acoustic.

I bought a new AMI Cedar a few months ago, couldn't be more pleased. Found an AMI Spruce at a pawn shop a couple weeks ago for $90, the finish was pretty beat up, but I cleaned it up and it is very playable. I gave it to my sister.
