still buzzing

Postby evets on Tue Mar 09, 2010 4:17 pm

Long & Mcquade phoned me saturday and asked me to bring in both buzzing parlors. At first chance I will (225km away) Last nite tuned up at home. After jamming for 1/2 hour hi e and b string started to buzz. Just checked them again and still buzzing. The RH in house is approx 57. I cc'd Michel at Godin for his input on my 2 e-mails to L&M and so far nothing from Godin. Hopefully he is in contact with L&M. Two virtually identical guitars and the same problem on both. Well so far its taking the fun out of playing 2 Canadian made guitars. As little as I know about guitars, the same thing happening to 2 virtually identical guitars is somewhat strange. I guess I will forget the Ami purchase until this is rectified......dumfounded in sask!

I wish you the best. I've owned a ton of Godin products over the years and have never had one problem with any of them.

Hi guys and gals....will be goin in to Regina Mar 27. Will take both guits in and see what they can do . Been playing them every day at relative humidity above 50 and they both buzz, open e and b. They said they will keep them both, give me a loaner, humidify the 2 and see whats up. I sure hope they can fix it....lets hope for the best ......ho...hum..lets stay Canadian......its their choice, now isn't it!

Hi guys...thanks for your interest in my buzzing problems. Here is the scoop and L&M"s and Godins don't give a shit attitude. I'm sad and very dissapointed. Took both guitars back to L&M to research the problem more fully and corresponded with Michele at Godins. "I" was the only one who contacted Godin....not L&M. Left guitars with their tech on Mar. 27, and told them we would be back in Regina on medical stuff April 9. They were going to humidify them and try resolve problem. On April 3 I spoke to the tech, and he had not done anything yet or talked to Godin. On April 8th, I spoke to the tech and he said he would get rite at it. I asked him to phone me later that day and give me the scoop, cause tomorrow we will be there. I did not hear anything, so I phoned again. Sorry he was gone.....he only works part time!......well for christ sake...I happen to be a customer purchasing 3 guitars there and about $200.00 worth of strings in the last couple of years....... During the conversation with one of the managers, I was put on hold, and a real nice promo recording came on as to L&M's policy on returns and refunds and customer satisfaction. Well, by this time I was a tad dissapointed in the whole damn thing. When the manager came back on the line, I challenged him to honour his advertising of customer satisfaction. The next day my wife dropped off the guitars and received our money back. THAT! was my experience with a Canadian guitar company and L&M. Now, I can't judge either company on one bad experience, but they really didn't care about me. Oh and their poor tech....he only works part time!.....do I really give a shit.....there is such a thing as a customer, and the customer pays the wages. Well with a due respect, I think that this customer will no longer pay any wages at L&M in Regina. For now I will try and play a dreadnaught until I can try out a few more parlors....thanks for listening...evets
