Anyone played a Belmont?

Postby GodinFan on Sat Nov 29, 2008 10:06 pm

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has had a chance to play a Belmont? If yes, what did you think?
That's it.

If my Dorchester is any indication, I bet the Belmont is amazing. Godin has done it again! Simply, amazing tone/quality of r a very fair price. Made in Canada as well!!

Just swung a trade for a mint condition "black wash" finish Belmont. Nice axe, though it's an anchor. Lots of tones available, great playability, excellent finish, nice case, cool design features. Nice mate for the LG and Acousticaster.

Can't wait to gig it.

Peace, Mooh.

I think it's this very guitar. The guy who bought it from The 12th Fret was disabled and found it too heavy. So though it was second hand when I bought it, it hadn't been played.

I've gigged it a couple of times, through a Traynor YCV50blue, and it has lots of great tones, nice strap balance though it's brute heavy, superb playability, and a lovely feel. Pickups are great! It's unusual that I don't want to change pickups, but the stock ones are very nice. Makes me think of putting lipstick pickups in my Strat.

Peace, Mooh.

My Belmont came with an extra set of Telecaster style chrome knobs for volume and tone. They look way better than the stock knobs. I thought it was cool that they were included in the case.

Peace, Mooh.
