I'm going to need some more time to spend with my new Kingpin II to do a decent review, but a short summary from owning and playing it for athe short time I have had it is that the neck is wonderful, (reminds me of a nicely played in acoustic neck (no binding by the way - which it works very well without). Unplugged it projects very well and fills a good sized room in my home with ease. It has a hearty tone that's well balanced. Plugged in the P90's really bring it alive and without losing any of the nice tonal qualities of the Cherry (which I am really liking alot). All the hardware is of excellent quality, no tuning or set-up issues whatsoever out of the included TRIC case.
Again, I would like to spend more time playing it and see how it matures over time so I can feel more sure-footed with my observations. But the quick answer, I'd buy the Kingpin II again in a heartbeat from what I know based on my limited time with it thus far...
