I own a Godin LGX SA with a similar problem on the 3rd string - only when I press down it remains silent  ! This is both on the synth and the acoustic modelling...

I have written to Godin via email to try and get some info' on where in the UK I can get it repaired but heard absolutely nothing back whatsoever - so much for buying what you think is a quality instrument with a good company behind it. That's my experience. Over here in the UK I reckon I have limited options.

I was wondering if you have been able to resolve your problem? If so did you manage to get hold of a spare part?

I will probably end up taking mine apart and checking all the obvious things (loose wires etc)... If I can't get it to work will probably use what I can off it pickup wise on another guitar, buy a GK3 and use the rest as firewood - shame really.

Godin - nice guitars lousy customer service...

I have had similar problems with my xtSA which is less than 1yr old. I had a problem with the A piezo when it suddenly lost volume / lost synth access and then after having it replaced (under warranty), the G string started to distort on piezo. This is now going to be replaced. The replacement involves re-soldering a new piezo (with cable already attached) into the 'electronics' cavity. I've no idea how you could re-solder the cable at the piezo end as it's all very small but maybe my eyes are just too bad. NB apparently the replacement piezo's are specific for each string so you have to specify which you need.

All these repairs have been undertaken by Sheehans in Leicester and I cannot speak highly enough of them.
